My name is Laura Kapner and I am a senior at Yarmouth High School. I live with my mother Miriam and our dog Nougat, he is a cockapoo which is a cross between a cocker spaniel and a poodle. I have one older brother named Sam. He is 19 and is currently a sophomore at Lafayette college in Pensilvania, but he will be home for Thanksgiving break. We live very close to Yarmouth High School, it's about a six minute walk to the school if you take the shortcut through the woods . My mom and I love to spend time outside and cooking together. We love to cook foods from around the world and we have a cabinet stuffed with Greek, Italian, French, Moroccan, Vietnamese, and Middle Eastern cook books. My favorite is Middle Eastern foods like kofta, and I love to make and eat baklava. I am very excited to show the students from Turkey the beauty of Maine.
